My name is Bogumila Sobolewska.

I was born in 1980 in Poland (Piotrkow Trybunalski).

After finishing my high school education on mathematics-physics faculty, in 1999 I moved to Holland.

I have spend first year in Leiden, doing English and Dutch language course, enjoying the beautiful student city, and getting to know the totally new Dutch culture (mostly by eating huge amounts of stroopwafels). After a year I decided to continue my education in Holland. First I had to take an advance Dutch course, as I couldn't get far with "Goedemorgen" and "Spreekt u Engels?". Finally in 2001 I was admitted to Computer Science studies at Leiden University. Considering I got my first Toshiba laptop less than year ago, I was able to use computer for less than 2 years, and my Dutch was still pretty basic, it was a brave (read insane) choice of studies. Many misfortunes on the way didn't make it easier for me either. Never the less, in 2011 I managed to graduate, achieving Bachelor in Computer Science and Master in ICT in Business. Yeah!

During my studies I have already started with profesional cariere. At the moment I'm working as IT consultant at Deloitte. My speciality is online business strategy and CMS (Content Management System) implementation of websites. It's interesting and challenging work and I enjoy it a lot. I work for the clients like Yamaha Motors, Philips, UPC, KvK (Dutch Chamber of Commerce) and several Dutch Ministeries. The real pleasure at work comes from design and development. I enjoy doing graphical design, front-end development (theming/templating) and finally implementation in Drupal CMS. In the last years I became a real Drupal fanatic, traveling across Europe to visit conferences and dev days.

But I hope you didn't get an impression that I'm a total geek. Maybe a little... Let's say I'm a geek with blooming social life :).
I love traveling, particularly to warm places (crazy in love with Spain!). I enjoy eating and cooking, and looking at people enjoying my cooking.
I read a lot, besides O'Reilly publications, some of my fav authors are: Martina Cole, Stieg Larsson, William Wharton, Jonathan Carroll, Carlos Ruiz Zafón...
And since I live in Zandvoort, which for me is like heaven on earth, I enjoy peace and quiet walking on the beach and in dunes, making picture with my new Nikon D3100.
