I start each of the new projects by downloading and instaling the Zen theme. It's very clean and pure, and I always use it as a base for the front-end development and styling.
Some of the futures include:
- Well documented php and css files.
- Lots of easy-to-access classes and ids for CSS...

I have finaly had a chance to use the Fivestar voting module for my current project. It works together with VotingAPI and it's probably the coolest voting widget ever developed for Drupal.
Some features:

When convincing people to use Drupal I was very often challenged with the question: why not to use Joomla instead? Till now had some problems to give professional and objective answer, one because of my devotion to Drupal, two because of my lack of experience of Joomla.
